It rained hard overnight and was still raining this morning, so we called off the group ride. Interestingly, it stopped raining after our second morning call to discuss the weather. A heavy blanket of clouds remained but there was no rain, so I headed out at 3:00. To make things a bit more interesting, I headed up Bohlman Road. I kept a slow but steady pace all the way up and felt better than I had expected (probably due to my slow speed). Just after I entered El Sereno and went over the top, it started to drizzle a bit. This quickly turned to light rain and then heavy rain. The heavy clouds and the now setting sun made the trail much darker than usual. Given the conditions and the fact that I was the only person out there, I kept my speed under control and had a very nice ride down. I rode back on Saratoga-Los Gatos Road as darkness fell. I got home pretty thoroughly wet but not cold. It ended up being a pretty good ride.
