I am Coming Back

I am on the way back to my old form. I have dropped some weight and have kept up my strength. As a result, I am getting back to my old levels of strength and speed.

I did a ride with my usual Sunday crew today up a long hill at  El Sombroso with a start at Quicksilver. In the not too distant past, I was really dragging up this hill and my friends got to be good sports by waiting for me at the top of the hill. Today, I was the one waiting for them!

This is not too surprising. I am sure they would have been a lot slower if they had carried the extra weight I was carrying. I still have a ways to go, but between dropping a good amount of weight using a low carb diet and getting out riding 3 or 4 times a week, I am getting back in much better shape. It is very satisfying to see and feel the results of the diet!
