Kennedy - March 14, 2010

Distance: 14.7 miles Ascent: 2,872 feet Moving time: 2:00 hours

It was a big change from the recent weather. Today was a beautiful day that demanded that we get out and enjoy it. In spite of the rain two days ago, the trails were in surprisingly good condition. Starting from downtown Los Gatos, we headed up Kennedy Trail and down Priest Rock all the way to the bottom. We returned to town via Jones Trail.

We met a guy that we had met on the trail years ago at the oak tree in the middle of the ride up. We chatted a while and then all of us headed to the top. After a short break, we shot off down the hill. We all adjourned to Los Gatos Coffee Roasting for a bit of coffee and chat before heading home.

It was great to have such nice weather and long views. We could easily see San Francisco and into Marin County. The trail seemed to have gotten steeper than last time, but we still made it.
